In spite of Hurricane Katia’s tail hitting the Irish coast last Sunday, cyclists flocked to Dublin city centre to join in the Dublin Sky Ride (www.goskyride.com/dublin).

Not our Bare Cycling Club Members, though.
They decided to go on their own, alternative ride, along Dublin’s coast-line. Not because they oppose the SkyRide in itself (we think it’s a great thing that 8500 people show up to enjoy cycling). But because they don’t enjoy the helmets, the bibs, and the high-vis klack bands that are handed out for free.
They would rather ride bare headed. Like Eoin is doing in this picture, taken near Blackrock park.
Ah.. the liberty of it all.
